Mustang Gameday is a live 60-minute pregame show that covers Cal Poly Athletics. From the on-camera anchors to the producers and cameramen, the show is ran almost entirely by the students of Mustang Media Group (MMG). What began in 2016 as a collaboration between MMG and Cal Poly Athletics is now an award-winning college sportscast that catches the eyes of thousands of viewers.
There are unexpected twists and turns behind the scenes of any Mustang Gameday. However, one aspect remains consistent — the process. Find out what the typical Mustang Gameday show looks like in the slideshow below.
Journalism seniors and Mustang Gameday anchors Brian Truong and Sydney Finkel take you behind the scenes on one of their video projects — a story about Cal Poly Men's Soccer goalkeeper Carlos-Arce Hurtado and his journey to Cal Poly.
